About the event
The Tribal Grant Writing Workshop offers a comprehensive two-day training session designed for both novice and experienced grant writers. With 16 contact hours, the workshop equips participants with essential tools and confidence to secure funding for Tribal communities.
What You Will Learn: Participants will master skills such as navigating federal funding portals like Grants.gov and SAM.gov, distinguishing between formula funds and competitive grants, and applying a go/no-go framework. The workshop also covers writing compelling narratives using the Need-Solution-Impact framework and building detailed budgets and work plans adhering to 2 CFR Part 200 cost principles. Additionally, attendees will learn to manage awards from Notice of Award through closeout, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
Who Should Attend: The workshop is ideal for Tribal transportation staff, planners, grant writers, finance professionals, public works and project managers, and Tribal leaders. Both new and experienced applicants are welcome.
