Both of these sessions will be held at the NIPTC located at 1011 Indian School Road NW, Albuquerque, NM  87104.  

 

We have 28 seats available in each session.

Details: Another round of RIFDs training sessions in Albquerque in the National Indian Programs Training Center (NIPTC). 

 

This training is required before you can be approved for access to the BIA inventory system. To register for this RIFDS training, email Minerva.Chavez@bia.gov and CC Sheldon.Kipp@bia.gov with your request to attend.

2024 RURAL &TRIBAL TRANSIT CAPITAL PORJECTS TRAINING WORKSHOP

 Spokane, WA; April 23, 2024 - April 24, 2024

Instructor: Michia Casebier, MG. Tech- Writing, LLC; Steven Matthews, The Akana Group; and Todd Macalday, SWTTAP

Description:  Relying heavily on the FTA Construction Project Management Handbook, this workshop offers guidance to those who are taking on sizable construction projects despite limited prior experience. Attendees will be introduced to transit capital development/construction project management principles through all phases of project development (e.g., project initiation and scoping, NEPA, project funding, solicitation writing, construction, commissioning, and closeout), and will learn how to: administer their projects via in-house staff or consultant contractors, complete projects on time and within budget, and comply with FTA requirements, etc.

LIFESAVERS CONFERENCE
 April 7-9, Denver, CO

NATIONAL TRIBAL ROAD MAINTENANCE SYMPOSIUM

May 14-16, 2024, Rapid City, South Dakota

This inaugural event will bring together Tribal road maintenance practitioners and staff from the Bureau of Indian Affairs Divisions of Transportation and BIA Regional Tribal Transportation Program. The event will provide essential support for Tribal transportation directors, supervisors, planners, office staff, equipment operators, project managers and others.
